Santa Muerte & The Holy Trinity
Where does the Holy Trinity fit into the Practice of LA Santa Muerte?
In Santa Muerte mythology we see Santa Muerte being created by God at the same moment Adam and Eve are expelled from the garden of Eden and are cursed with mortality and the loss of innocence. From there everyitme someone dies in the bible ( the total being 2,821,364) santa muerte is There to reap their souls and escort them to where they need to go in the afterlife. The most famous out of all these deaths and Santa Muerte's shining moment is when she reaps the soul of Christ from his suffering on the cross and escorts him to Hell 3 days before the reserection which is why Good Friday is her most sacred Feast day
Santa Muertes sacred symbol The Cross of Caravaca aka the wishing cross was the first Crucifix believed to be brought to the Shores of the New World and is believed to contain a relic of a splinter of wood from the actual cross Jesus was crucified on. The image of the cross is a crucifix flanked by two angels.
In ritual and ceremony altars to Santa Muerte have crucifixes...at least one...and crosses, rosaries, images and stsrues of the sacred heart, images of Santa Muerte holding the battered soul if Christ, or images and icons of Christ or the holy trinity in general....even the Niño de las Suertes is venersted by Santa Muertistas in our practice
In prayers to santa muerte the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, and Saint Michaels prayer are said before invoking Santa Muerte and when invoking her it is believed one must first aak permission from The Christian God once prayers are said done and over with 3 Our Fathers are said to finish and it is very rare to encounter an traditional prayer or spell that doesnt mention Christ or the holy trinity in it.
